PCL Printer drivers are basically a set of small programs able to create an interface between your printer and the operating system on your personal computer. The driver was referencing part of driver settings and was retrieving values. The "Restore Defaults" function will no longer work after use of the Printer Driver Editor's "Display/Do not Display" function.
